About Victoria
Victoria grew up in Montreal, QC, and has been around dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits all her life. However, the path to the dog walker and pet sitting world opened up while she was working as a dog boarding attendant at a local boarding kennel. Like most little girls, she grew up with a love for animals and had a keen interest in the outdoors. Although she didn't pursue studies in these areas, she did help friends and family with their pets whenever they needed them. Eventually as she started to exercise and socialize with the pets in her care. This is where she began to realize her passion for working with animals, especially dogs. Not long after the lost of her beloved cat, Lucky, she began to foster cats for Caregivers of Petrolia Ferals.
Providing Safe, Convenient Exercise for Your Bestie
She has started a personal movement to invest and gain more knowledge on modern dog training and pet care, which has been an ongoing process ever since she began Pets & Pads. She continues to expand her knowledge every chance she gets by attending workshops, online courses, and reading lectures. Victoria is committed to expanding her knowledge about dogs and cats and learning how to work with them in a positive, low-stress manner.
She shares her home with her beloved canine friends, who are both young, spunky, and still learning the ropes, a Belgian Malinois Shepherd named River and Shepherd x Kelpie Mix named Raina. She has done extensive training with River to work towards her becoming a Psychiatric Support Dog and has been working on training with Raina as well. She continues to enrich their lives daily with a mix of reward-based training and exploring the outdoors together.
The Philosophy
At Pets and Pads, we always want to put the needs of you and your pet first. All of our services are personalized and private to ensure that your pet has all their needs met and has our full attention. Not all dogs are suitable for doggy daycare rooms. Some dogs benefit more from a structured walk and personal time exploring the outdoor world. This fulfills their needs for both mental and physical enrichment and human bonding. We are here to service those needs and continue to provide care to our clients and their pets.
